Bringing meaningful social value to UK Public Sector
Providing services to the public sector that are fit-for-purpose, cost-effective, and deliver a high social value
Our Purpose
Local Authority Technology CIC was created by the Geoxphere ltd team as a home for our public-sector focused services. It’s purpose is to put the needs of Local Government first.
It allows us to ring-fence the revenue these services generate to spend on things that provide direct, positive feedback into Local Government.

Our Services
We focus on creating services that not only solve problems in Local Government, but are also economically, socially and environmentally impactful.
With our expertise in geospatial, cloud computing, and cyber security, we’re well-placed for councils to adopt our services knowing they’re in safe hands.
Service Resilience
We give confidence to our customers as our business model means our products are protected for the long-term, meaning no disruption or loss of service.
The asset lock ensures that the CIC will always be a going concern.

Our Social Value
The founding principle of Local Authority Technology CIC is that the revenue we generate through our services feeds back into projects that benefit the Local Government community.
Aside from our core values of keeping our subscriptions affordable and access to our services equitable, we also invest in projects that present a high social value.
Our Governance
Local Authority Tech is a Community Interest Company, a special form of social enterprise. We operate as a not-for-profit. However, that’s not to say we’re not driven. The more successful the CIC is, the more we can invest in people and projects.
We love to see our services making a difference. This flavour of “ethical capitalism” ensures the services you subscribe to rapidly adapt and evolve to remain cuttin-edge.
Our directors match Geoxphere Ltd, but the CIC has no shareholders. We are also heavily guided by sector specialists and advisors to ensure the CIC remains relevant and true to its vision.
